The odds weren't in Jennifer Lawrence's favor after all this week. The beloved Hunger Games: Catching Fire star, 23, revealed on Late Night with David Letterman on Wednesday, Nov. 20 that she was forced to cancel a slew of morning show appearances in order to deal with pesky, icky abdominal issues that had been plaguing her for weeks.
"I just had this really bad pain for, like, three weeks," Lawrence told David Letterman, explaining that she finally decided to go to the ER. ""And you know you can only s**t your pants so many times a day before you go to the emergency room, before you're like 'I need to go to the hospital.'"
Explained the Oscar winner to a bemused Letterman: "I thought I had an ulcer, but it turns out it was a 'fulcer,'" she joked, also describing the stomach pains she endured. "I went to the emergency room."
Once there, the Kentucky native underwent an endoscopy -- a procedure she was happy to describe to Letterman and his audience. "I just did this thing yesterday called an endoscopo-something, where they put you to sleep," she revealed. "And the woman - it's pretty clear when you first meet me, I'm a freakin' head case and I'm crazy - so I'm in there like, 'Ugh, what are these?! What do they mean?! What does that say?!'"
n her stupor, she recalled, "he last thing I said was, 'I'm paralyzed!'"
While under, Lawrence experienced so wacky dreams, indeed. "I dreamed there was a nuclear bomb that went off…And the first lucid conversation I remember having was about the Kardashians!"
